About Pleuni Apollonia

Hey!

My name is Pleuni Apollonia. I am a Yoga teacher, Soundhealer and Musician from the Netherlands.

My mission

I use music, movement, sound and ritual as doorways into a quieter place inside of you. A place that’s honest. Most of us lost touch with this place somewhere along the way.

I’m not here to fix anyone or tell them who they should be. I don’t have the answers. Everyone carries their own.
But I am here because I know what it means to feel lost, and disconnected. And that the only way is in.

I believe that when we heal ourselves, we heal the world.

So I create spaces where you can breathe, soften, and remember who you really are. So you can reconnect with your own divine humanity.

My path

In 2013, I graduated from the Academy of Arts as a dancer and choreographer, but it wasn’t until later that I found my true calling. In my year of graduation I also finished my first Yoga teacher training and started teaching classes right away.

A decade of traveling

Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of traveling extensively, immersing myself in diverse cultures and teachings. My time spend in many different communities all across Central America, India, the Middle East, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Thailand, has enriched my practice and deepened my understanding of the human spirit.

The meaning behind my name

My name, Pleuni Apollonia (which is my real given name) has always felt a bit magical to me. It wasn’t something I chose, yet it somehow fits the path I’m walking today.

Apollonia comes from “Apollo,” the Greek deity connected to music, art, healing, and the sun.

I’ve always felt that my name reflects the combination of things I love most: music, art, and the healing journey (and I’m definitely not one to hide from the sun either 😉 )

It feels like a gentle reminder of what I’m here to do.

The healing power of sound

Today, my focus lays on creating transformative events and ceremonies that blend the healing power of music with ancient wisdom. The power of sound is something I am fascinated with. In my soundhealings I work with specific vibrations to help release tension and promote emotional balance.

In the field of Yoga I feel grateful to have studied with teachers like Jo Phee, Gary Carter and Julie Martin, for they have opened my eyes in many ways. The Vinyasa classes I teach are an exploration of the body’s natural way of moving and in my Yin classes we practice in a very meditative way. In my retreats and workshops I always invite students to feel into their own body and decide with openness and curiosity what it is that works for them individually.

A plant medicine journey can be a meaningful guide on your path of transformation and healing.

Soundhealing

In the intimate cocoon of my one-on-one sessions, I will take you on a journey with different instruments, and my voice.

Retreats

In our Mantra & Medicine retreats, we aim to reconnect you to the mystical aspect of life through the transformative power of music.

My Partner in Life

Together with my partner Robert, a talented musician and guitarist, we co-create immersive experiences like the ‘Mantra & Medicine weekends’. These weekends are a sacred journey of self-discovery, where we gather to explore the healing properties of plant medicine, sing songs from around the world, and cultivate connection with ourselves and each other. Music unifies, and brings you more into your heart.
